Landing the Job of Your Dreams

Have you ever wondered why some people are so successful and others remain stagnant in the same dead end job year after year or jump from one job to another?  How can you get ahead and land the job of dreams? 

Well, the power is in positive thinking!  People never achieve anything that they cannot see themselves doing.  If you cannot envision yourself in an executive position, you won't believe that you can get such a job.  If you can't believe it, you can't achieve it!

Once you change your thinking, develop a vision and believe in yourself, you begin to portray confidence.  When you interview for the job of your dreams, that confidence is what lands you the job!

Think about it.  If you were hiring a department manager and in the interview you asked, "How would you handle an angry customer?" and the interviewee stumbled on the question and said, "Ummmm ... I would try to be as nice as possible." What would your reaction be?

On the other hand, if the interviewee answered, "Well, first of all I would attempt to diffuse the anger.  I would ask the customer to explain the problem to me assuring them that I share their concern.  I would listen attentively, often people just want to be heard.  After the customer explained the situation, I would formulate and offer a mutually satisfying solution."

Which one of the two applicants would you hire?

If you really want a specific position, envision yourself doing the job, alleviate the word "can't" from your vocabulary and pursue your dreams with confidence.  You CAN do it!
